FROM THE SET TO THE SCREEN: EL GRECO AT THE BATA SHOE MUSEUM

Kick off your 2008 Toronto International Film Festival experience at the Bata Shoe Museum with a special exhibition of some of the lavish costumes and set pieces from the film El Greco, which is premiering at this year’s festival.

From the Set to the Screen: El Greco is a behind- the -scenes look at many of the costumes and set pieces used in the making of this film.

Costumed designed by Lala Huete and art directed by Damianos Zarifs and Oriol Puig, the sumptuous costumes and detailed props bring to life the story of the 16th century Greek artist and freedom fighter Domenicos Theotokopoulos, otherwise known as El Greco.

Running September 4th to 14th, 2008
